Ross Beaty

Founder and Chairman

Geologist and resource company entrepreneur with over 47 years of experience in the international minerals and renewable energy industries. Founder and Chairman of Equinox Gold Corp., a major gold producer, he has also founded and divested a number of other public mineral resource companies including Alterra Power Corp., a clean power producer. Beaty is President of Sitka Foundation, one of Canada’s leading environmental foundations and Patron of Beaty Biodiversity Center, University of British Columbia. He is also Director of a number of environmental NGOs, including Panthera, the BC Parks Foundation and the Pacific Salmon Foundation. Former President, World Silver Institute, Washington DC. Fellow: Geological Association of Canada; Society of Economic Geologists; Canadian Institute of Mining; and Royal Canadian Geographic Society. He has received many awards and honours for business and philanthropic achievements, including the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame (2018), Order of Canada (2017) and Doctor of Laws honoris causa, University of British Columbia (2018).

Chris Taylor

Director, President & CEO

Mr. Taylor is a structural and economic geologist and mining entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience with both producers and exploration companies. He is CEO, President and Director of Great Bear Resources Ltd since December 2010. He is currently Chairman of TSX.V listed Kodiak Copper Corp. and formerly a geologist with Imperial Metals Corp., a TSX company from 2004 to 2009. Mr. Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Science honors degree in Earth Sciences in 2000, and a Master of Science degree in Structural Geology from Carleton University in 2003.

Leigh R. Curyer

CEO & Director

Mr. Curyer has over 20 years experience in the resources and corporate sector. Mr. Curyer is the founder, President & Chief Executive Officer of NexGen Energy Ltd. and was previously the Chief Financial Officer and head of corporate development of Southern Cross Resources (now Uranium One). In addition, for three years Mr. Curyer was Head of Corporate Development for Accord Nuclear Resource Management assessing uranium projects worldwide for First Reserve Corporation, a global energy — focused private equity and infrastructure investment firm.

Mr. Curyer’s uranium project assessment experience has been focused on assets located in Canada, Australia, USA, Africa, Central Asia and Europe, incorporating operating mines, advanced development projects and exploration prospects. While Chief Financial Officer of Southern Cross Resources (now Uranium One), Mr. Curyer managed the exploration, permitting and feasibility study of the Honeymoon Uranium Project in South Australia, ensuring full compliance with NI43-101 reporting. Mr Curyer has raised over $500 million of equity in North America, US, Europe and Australia.

Mr. Curyer is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.

Keith Neumeyer

President & CEO

Mr. Neumeyer has worked in the investment community since 1984. He began his career at a number of Canadian national brokerage firms. Mr. Neumeyer moved on to work with several publicly-traded companies in the resource and high technology sectors. His roles have included senior management positions and directorships responsible in areas of finance, business development, strategic planning and corporate restructuring. Mr. Neumeyer was the original and founding President of First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (T-FM). Mr. Neumeyer founded First Majestic Silver in 2002 and First Mining Gold in 2015. Mr. Neumeyer has also listed a number of companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange and as such has extensive experience dealing with the financial, regulatory, legal and accounting issues that are relevant in the investment community. Mr. Neumeyer also won the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011 for the Metals & Mining category.

THORSTEN POLLEIT

Chief Economist

Thorsten Polleit has been chief economist at Degussa, Europe’s largest precious metal trading company, since April 2012. Prior to that, he worked in international investment banking for 15 years. Since 2014 he has been an honorary professor for economics at the University of Bayreuth. He studied economics at the Westphalian Wilhelms University and worked with Professor Dr. Manfred Borchert (1939–2017), receiving his doctorate. Dr Polleit’s main research areas are the Austrian School of Economics, Monetary Theory and Policy, Capital Market Theory and Epistemology. He was awarded the O.P. Alford III Prize in Libertarian Scholarship. He is Adjunct Scholar at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, Auburn, Alabama, USA, and President of the Ludwig von Mises Institute Germany. Thorsten is an active investor and advises institutional investors. His last books include “The Anti-Capitalist.
